Toure Yaya is expected in Barca this week to put pen to paper on a new contract with barcelona and end the speculation that he could leave the club.

Toure Yaya outspoken agent, Dimitri Seluk, stated at the end of the season that Barcelona needed to show his client more respect or he could leave.

Talks between the two parties then failed to produce a result and speculation arose that Toure could move abroad, with Manchester City and Inter both said to be interested.

Instead, Barca have moved to ensure that he doesn't leave. Seluk is now confident that a new contract will be signed this week and that Toure Yaya can focus on playing again.

"Everything is almost in place. If all goes well, at the end of the week he will sign the renewal," El Mundo Deportivo quote the agent as saying.

"I hope that Yaya arrives on Thursday in Barca."
