The Russian full-back "Yuri Zhirkov" has revealed that he wants to play for Barca and that it has always been his dream to play for Barcelona side one day.

"Yuri" has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer, but, as he explained, there hasn't yet been an offer of any kind from the Catalan.

"All those reports on the internet and in the media, but I prefer not pay any attention to the rumours. To date, CSKA Moscow hasn't received any offer and hasn't officially opened negotiations with any club," he told Sport.

Even though there haven't been any bids for the player to date, Yuri Zhirkov did reveal that should he leave CSKA Moscow, El Barca is the place he wants to end up.

"In Russia, I follow the Spanish league and I see many games, mostly of Barcelona, who have been my team for many years. In these season, I have seen a lot of matches and the truth is they are playing fantastically," he add.

"My team is The Catalan and I want to play there. Barca is my first option and I dream of playing for the club some day."

There is little doubt that Barca do appear to need a full back this summer, especially after losing "Sylvinho", and Yuri Zhirkov declared that "I would love to be that player".

Yuri also spoke about his main aims as a player, revealing that he wants to win the top prize in European club football, more than anything else.

"Winning the Champions League. I expect to be able to do that sometime. I want to continue helping the national team and keep doing well, as we did at the European Championships," he add.

Finally, the defender was asked whether or not he thinks that he will be playing for Barca next season.

"In football, anything is possible, but an offer from Barcelona will have to arrive and CSKA Moscow will have to accept, that is my future," he concluded.
