Villa Will Join Barca When The Price Is Right

Labels:

Villa will sign for Barca this summer when Valencia and the European champions have agreed a fee and a method of payment, according to reports in Spain.

The Spanish international striker's next move will be made public after this weekend, but both Sport and El Mundo Deportivo have both stated that he will move to Barcelona.

Barca have been in the driving seat since talks took place two weeks ago between the clubs, but the only thing remaining to be sorted is the price tag involved.

El Mundo Deportivo believe that Barcelona will offer €40 million and could go to €45m, while Sport think that a deal is almost settled for €40m up front with €3m more depending on his achievements.

Sport also claim that David Villa has told his agent, Jose Luis Tamargo, to listen to Barcelona president, Joan Laporta, and talk to him about contracts.

Eto'o looks set to leave The Catalan after Pep Guardiola is believed to have asked the board at the beginning of the summer break for a new striker.

Impressed by his goalscoring exploits last term, the coach is not a big fan of the temperamental forward's attitude at times and now wants his own man brought in.
