Manchester United Approach FC Barcelona For Samuel Eto'o

Labels:

Having seen C.Ronaldo leave to Real Madrid, Manchester Utd could be attempting to ease their pain by signing the cameroonian striker Samuel Eto'o.

According to The Times, Sir Alex Ferguson has set his sights on capturing Samuel Eto'o, who scored for Barca against Manchester United in the Champions League final.

Samuel Eto'o's future at the Blaugrana is still in doubt, with the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Liverpool and Inter Milan all showing a recent interest in signing the player.

Indeed, Manchester City are said to be preparing a €29 million offer, but Manchester United are confident that their status and their healthy relationship with Barcelona will allow them to negotiate a deal for a lesser fee.

With Carlos Tevez also almost certain to leave Old Trafford, Manchester United are in desperate need of attacking re-inforcements.

Meanwhile, despite recent comments from the club suggesting Samuel Eto'o might stay in Camp Nou, his future does remain less than certain.
