I Want To Join A Big Team And Barca Are The Best Right Now

Labels:

Filipe has admitted that he wants to join a big Spanish team and that at the moment, Barcelona are the best team around.

The defender has been widely linked with a move away from Deportivo La Coruna this summer, with Barcelona as a possible destination.

In an interview with Ona FM, he explained that he has enjoyed his time with Depor, but that he would like to leave.

"Deportivo have treated me as family and have taken care of me a lot. They know what I want, we have spoken many times and I will defend them, but I want to be in Spain and I want to go to a big club," he said.

"I don't know what will happen, a player wants to fight for a place and to always play. With Deportivo I did that and if I go I will continue to do the same."

One of the problems for Filipe and Barcelona could be Depor president, Augusto Cesar Lendoiro, who is known to be a tough negotiator.

Filipe admitted that they have a right to make demands and that there is a contract which nobody forced me to sign.

He also spoke about the fact that he does not wish to leave Spain this summer, stating "Spain is the country I like the most, I am completely adapted to the league and the language. I don't want to go".

As well as proving himself at club level, Filipe acknowledged that moving to another side could help his chances with the Brazilian national team.

"To get in the national team is very hard but I want to play for Brazil. In this sense it would be good to move and I would have a chance as, at right back we have some of the best players in the world, but at left back not so much, therefore I believe I can do it and I want to play there," he concluded.
