Barcelona Striker Thierry Henry Could Finish His Career In MLS

Labels:

Thierry Henry has revealed that he is seriously contemplating playing in MLS in the United States before retiring, and New York Red Bulls would be his preferred team.

Henry was in the Big Apple to compete in a high profile charity game organised by basketball star Steve Nash and was asked about his desire to play in America.

At 31, Henry still believes that he has something to offer Barca and wants to complete his contract with the European champions before considering moving across the Pond.

"Could I play for New York Red Bulls at some point? It could be possible in 2011," he is quoted as saying by Sport.

"One never knows, but the truth is that it is an option that could be likely.

"I want to stay with Barca for two more seasons and then I will leave."

Henry struggled in his first season with Barcelona, but came good last term as he bagged 25 goals of the 97 scored by the front three that included him, Lionel Messi and Samuel Eto'o.
