Barcelona believe Victor Valdes stay to Camp Nou

Labels:

The Catalan are confident that they will reach an agreement with the spanish goalkeeper "Victor Valdes" about a new deal as talks continue without producing a result to extend his stay in barca.

vice president of barca, Rafael Yuste, believes that barcelona goalkeeper has no desire to leave the catalan and that the club don't want to see him go.

Victor Valdes may have had his critics outside of Barcelona, but he is viewed as one of the best in the world by the coaching staff and his team mates and the board agree.

"Manchester Utd" have been linked with the custodian and his agent has stated that he is more important to the team than Andres Iniesta and Xavi in a bid to add more pressure in the talks.

Yuste doesn't think that the delay in reaching an agreement will mean that Victor Valdes could end up leaving the club, with whom he has only one more year on his current deal.

"He is very happy at Barçelona, like everyone else on the payroll," Sky Sports quote him as saying.

"So I can't imagine Valdes playing for a team other than Barçelona and I hope he continues at Camp Nou."
