Despite Barcelona's strong interest in Filipe, an agreement between the two clubs has reportedly reached a stalemate as Deportivo remain determined to be paid the €20 million stipulated in the Brazilian left-back's contract.

And Filipe, who has made no secret of his wish to play for the Champions League holders, has urged Deportivo to make a quick decision on his future.

"Talks have been going on for a long time and one hopes for a solution as soon as possible because I do not know if I have to leave or stay," he told Catalunya Radio.

"This is a very troublesome situation."
