Robinho Wants To Join Barca

Labels:

Robinho is keen to try and push through a move that would see him swap Manchester City for Barca this summer despite the English club's denials, according to a report.

The news that Robinho would like to return to the Spanish league and join The Catalan was dismissed by the Premier League outfit, but Sport insist it will happen.

Currently in South Africa on Confederations Cup duty, the former Real Madrid star has made it clear that if Barcelona are interested then he wants to know what is on offer.

Reports in the Catalan media have suggested that Robinho is admired greatly by coach Pep Guardiola and is believed to be seen as the perfect substitute for Ribery as the Frenchman's price tag is too high.

Sport believe that City manager Mark Hughes would inform his board that if the money for Robinho could be used for a replacement then he could leave.

City's interest in Eto'o could help any deal with an agreement over fees being struck that would see the player's swap clubs and ease the finances on both sides.
