report - Barcelona Mooting Move For Manchester City’s Robinho

Labels:

El Barca could turn their attention to prising "Robinho" away from Manchester by activating a clause in the player's contract after the English club failed to qualify for the Champions League.

Robinho has made no secret that he would jump at the chance to play for the European champions if their interest turned into something more serious.

With "Bayern Munich" stating their intention to hold onto Ribery, Barcelona are monitoring other options and have picked out Robinho, Sport state.

"Barcelona are a great team and it is always great to hear that they want you, but now I am only focussed on the Brazilian team, because this is most important," El Barca paper quotes the player as saying.

Last summer coach of barcelona Pep Guardiola made it clear that he was a big fan of Robinho when the Brazilian's move away from Real began to look a distinct possibility, however, Barcelona didn't make a move to sign him.

Now though, all the signs are that Barcelona are set to make an offer.

"I believe that one player who would fit in perfectly in this Barca team would be Robinho," Barcelona full back Dani Alves is quoted as saying.
