Lionel Messi Confident Of The Catalan Success Despite Real Madrid's Signings

Labels:

With Ricardo Kaka and Christiano Ronaldo already signed, and more on their way, Real Madrid are preparing themselves for an assault on Barca's dominance. Lionel Messi, however, is not too bothered by it all, saying, "The signing of Christiano Ronaldo is a good one."

"With him and Ricardo Kaka, they will be stronger, but we will fight. It is going to be a long and hard season and we hope to do even better."

Lionel Messi then refused to be drawn on the somewhat ridiculous suggestion that Christiano Ronaldo will be out for revenge for the Champions League final, when Lionel Messi outshone the Portuguese star as Barcelona romped to victory.

"He will want to do the best for his team, as will I," he said.

"The Champions League final is already in the past."

Lionel Messi then moved on to talk about some of his own team mates, starting with Eto'o, who could soon be leaving the club.

"He is the best striker in the world, but the matter is not in my control," Lionel Messi added.

The Argentine wizard then offered some words of support for his permanently injured compatriot G Milito, saying, "He doesn't deserve it because he is a great person."

"I hope he recovers quickly and we can count on him again."

Finally, Lionnel Messi expressed his sadness at Sylvinho's departure.

"It is sad and I wish him all the best. He helped me a lot to adapt when I came into the first team."
