Joan Laporta - Manchester City Have Made A Monster Offe’ for Eto’o

Labels:

Barca president Joan Laporta has admitted that Manchester City have made a monster offer for striker Eto’o.

Samuel Eto'o future remains the topic of much debate with conflicting reports in today’s British press over whether or not he will move to Eastlands.

However, according to Sky Sports News, the Barcelona president has now stated that the Citizens have made the striker a huge offer, which he described as “stratospheric”.

Joan Laporta reportedly went on to say that the offer from City would, “Convert Eto’o into the best paid player in the world”.

The 46 year old insisted that Samuel Eto’o wants to stay at the Camp Nou but hinted that such a huge offer may be difficult to refuse.

He also added that, should the striker make the switch to England, then the European champions would have to bring in a replacement.

"It's starting to become clear that he has this monster offer,” he explained.

“He wants to stay, but an offer like this is very difficult to refuse."

“If Samuel Eto’o accepts this stratospheric offer, we would have to bring in someone.”
