"This is what has happened today after the article published in Barca newspaper El Mundo Deportivo about a presumed deal between nerazzurri and the blaugrana club [for Ibrahimovic].

"Besides being completely unfounded, the presumed deal seems remote of any logic, even in the eyes of neutrals. The report is, therefore, without any foundation."

Zlatan has refused to commit his future to the Inter in recent interviews, but has been a monumental influence for the club over the past three seasons. In 2008-09,Zlatan was top scorer in Serie A with 25 tallies to his name.
