Iniesta Not Envious Of RicardoKaka & Cristiano Ronaldo Swoop

Labels:

Madrid's have so far been roundly criticised for their mammoth spending in their attempts to bring Ronaldo to Real Madrid, but Barcelona's Andres Iniesta couldn’t care less about their arch rivals’ controversial transfer activities.

“They Kaka and Ronaldo are two of the best players, but we don't have anything to be envious about,” Iniesta said during an interview on late night talk show programme, 'Buenafuente', as reported by AS.

“We have already had a spectacular season and I always had faith that things would turn out well for us,” he added.

Andres Iniesta was then asked by the host, Andreu Buenafuente, to explain a video of him as an 11 year old, declaring his love for Real Madrid.

“My very first team was Albacete and my second was Barcelona, but we had to face each other one day and Barcelona put seven goals past us. That’s why I had to change,” he clarified.

“But then I came to La Masia and I became a cule more than ever. Barcelona and Catalunya have given practically everything to me and my family, which is why I want to devote the rest of my playing career to Barcelona,” he beamed.

Finally, Iniesta, currently recovering from injury, spoke about Spain’s shock elimination from the Confederations Cup.

“It just goes to show that it is not easy to win these matches. Everyone in Spain was already thinking about Brazil,” he moaned.

According to AS, during the interview the phone on Buenafuente’s desk rang and he informed Iniesta that Madrid president Florentino Perez was on the line. The Barca man told the host to hang up.
