Barcelona Don't Want Hleb To Leave

Labels:

Barca have revealed that they do not want to see Hleb leave this summer after working so hard to prise him away from The Gunners just one season ago.

Hleb has had a frustrating first term at Barcelona as he has played just a bit part role in coach Pep Guardiola's historic treble winning team and was tipped to move clubs.

But while he has struggled to adapt to the city or learn the language, Aliaksandr Hleb is well liked at Barca and Guardiola in particular has often praised him.

Pep Guardiola wanted the 28 year old bought from The Gunners last years and maintains that he will use him more and more when he has settled.

Barcelona technical secretary, Txiki Begiristain, agrees with the trainer and thinks that Aliaksandr Hleb will improve during his second term at the club and has explained that he is not for sale.

"We didn't fight hard last year to sign Hleb, just to let him leave so early," Begiristain told Stuttgarter Zeitung.

Stuttgart were linked with their former player, as were Munich, who were reported to have mentioned him when discussing Ribery's potential transfer to Barca.
