Barcelona And Inter Milan Will Keep Eto'o And Zlatan - Massimo Moratti

Labels:

Massimo Moratti admits he spoke to Joan Laporta over Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Samuel Eto'o, but both men decided it was best if the strikers stayed where they are.

A number of reports have linked 'Zlatan' with an exit. All types of transfer deals were being mooted by the Spanish and Italian press. The Ibrahimovic plus cash and Samuel Eto'o deal, then further voices claimed of a move for Lyon's "Karim Benzema". Speculation has continued to be rife ever since the chief's meeting with Joan Laporta, and he has stepped in to clarify the club's position on his players.

"We had a dinner and we spoke about things after we heard that Zlatan Ibrahimovic wanted to join Camp Nou. We wanted to see our interest and Barca in this matter and in the end both I and Joan Laporta told each other it was best if we kept onto out own players," Massimo Moratti told Sky Sport Italia.

"We spoke about the players and how good they have done and I think it's best like this. Joan Laporta is a very nice man and the dinner ended well. The argument is closed in this sense. There is always talk about Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but I think he will stay."

Massimo Moratti also spoke about the upcoming transfer market including reports surrounding "Deco" and his will to join Inter Milan.

"Deco? He is a good player, but we haven't made any decision on him yet and I know what Jose Mourinho has said about him," concluded Massimo Moratti.

Meanwhile, Douglas "Maicon" has hinted that he is considering his future after being linked with a lucrative move to bernabeu.

"I still have a contract with Inter Milan until 2013, but I think it's time to reflect upon my future," the defender told Sky Sport Italia.
